Givenchy Prisme Blush in Vogue Orange: a Review
March 30, 2010 2 Comments
Givenchy has new Prisme Blushes out, and the Vogue Orange color is jumping right on that orange/coral make up trend for 2010!
This is a lovely peach on a my cool, olive-undertone Asian skin. It comes in Givenchy’s standard packaging, and has a pull out drawer beneath to reveal a brush. The brush is of decent quality but I wouldn’t use it myself. There’s nothing too revolutionary about the packaging, but it is concise, chic, and very Givenchy, with the Givenchy logo on top of the compact.

All the separate colors on the left, all together on the right.
Though it is small it packs a decent amount of product, but it still doesn’t come cheap at all. The formula is amazing and glides right on, is very pigmented but easily blended and sheered out. The orange shows up as a lovely orange-peach for me, a color I never thought I’d love. I love pairing this with Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Apricot and it truly gives me that beautiful peachy glow. It’s pretty finely milled though not as impressively so as Gurlain’s blushes, but it still is way above the standards of NARS or MAC for me.

All the colors swatched together!
The formula is pretty matte, and the four different colors work very well together. I use the bottom half for a lighter, more bright look and the top for a more intense, nighttime look, or I just mix all four! I can’t wait to try out different things with it.

The product on my cheek with some highlighter.
A little goes a long way, and even though it will run you $43, it does come with a good amount of product (even if it looks tiny in the pan), though it is definitely not as cost-efficient as some of the other blushes I own. However the four shades in the compact are so useful that I wish I could try out the other shades. However this is my dream peach-orange shade and I think I’ll be wearing it for a very long time to come. An A- (the minus is for the price versus amount of product).
