According to their website, UNII cosmetics focuses on usability and function for the make-up loving gal.
The UNII palette magnetically stores
multiple brands of makeup pans, whether it’s Mac,
Stila, Bobbi Brown and more! Now, all your favorite
brands can be stored neatly in the UNII Palette.
Say goodbye to makeup clutter!
I got these because of a favorable review online and I waited to travel with them all the way over to Hawaii before truly reviewing them, as I wanted to see how well they hold up in travel.
The features of the UNII cosmetics palette:
Each UNII Palette Includes:
• Magnetized Palette, so makeup stays put
• Adhesive magnetic sheet with writable labels
• Large, full-sized mirror for the makeup on the go
• Movable thumb grip
• Tight, rubberized seal prevents leaks
• Durable and purse-friendly
• Makeup not included
I can testify to many of the above features and they did indeed travel well. I initially purchased this in the Eggplant and Twilight colors, but eventually ordered the Snow and Lemongrass colors as well since these are so handy. My only complaint is that they are not bigger, and it’s hard to fit multiple MAC blushes in—it’s impossible to do more than one row straight across.
They come in these cute paper fold out packaging with instructions on the inside fold of the paper.
Other than that though, this thing works just as it should. The magnetized palette and strips of magnet that come with the product are very durable and magnetic so that my make up stays right put. The full sized mirror really does help a lot while travelling and touching up, and my favorite part has to be the exterior. The rubberized seal is very handy and I did have an eyeshadow crack in transit (it stayed put and it wasn’t the palette’s fault, but rather just an unfortunate side effect of travelling with all your make up), and it stayed put right in the palette and didn’t spill over into any of my other luggage.
I went on an insane depotting frenzy after receiving this and I can say with confidence I love them. The clasp that closes the palette is very durable and I can see this lasting a long time. My MAC palettes have a tendency of just falling apart after a while so I’m glad to have found something a little more solid–these are super buff and I expect them to hold up quite well.
It helps also that these come in such cute colors! The movable thumb grip came in more handy than I thought when I did my make up on the go while in Hawaii, so it really seems as if they’ve thought of everything. This deserves the full A+ and I surely hope that business is booming for them and they will expand to larger palette lines.
Hit the jump for the rest of the pictures of what I have in my Unii palettes. This is nowhere near enough for everything I want to depot so there’ll be another Unii palette in my future!

Hello! I noticed you have Benefit sugarbomb in your collection. Was it difficult to depot? I really want to depot my Hoola but am scared! haha
It was really easy! Just take a knife and some scissors and a flat iron. Knife/scissor the paper packaging, just generally tearing and mauling it, until you hit glue and can’t tear it apart anymore, then gently heat the glue with the flat iron and just pry it out.
If I’m not mistaken I think I see some NARS duos in your palettes. About how many do you think would fit in the Unii palette? Could you fit two rows of duos? And maybe some blush? Thanks.
If you put them down sideways (not side by side the way they are in the original compacts), you can fit in 3 rows of 4, 12 different shadows, 6 different duos.
I hope you still check this =/
I see you have Sugarbomb in your palette… do you know if all Benefit products will be attracted to the Unii Palette? Pretty much my whole collection is Benefit so i don’t want to get one if it wont stick =/
They will not stick but the palettes come with magnet strips you can cut up, and they are self adhesive so you just cut and peel and stick it on the back of your product.
