Review: Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector

So, I’ve been testing this out for 10 weeks and I think it’s safe to say I can now write a review about it.

According to Clinique:

Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
Dermatologist-developed to be safe, comfortable. Yet in clinical trials our serum was comparable to a leading prescription ingredient in creating a more even skin tone. A verified 53% improvement in skin tone. For all ethnicities: See results starting in as little as 4 weeks. At 12 weeks, see a visible reduction in dark spots, age spots, and traces of acne past.

How you use it: Use one or two pumps after your daily 3-steps (that is, cleansing, toning, and moisturizing), massage all over face. I asked a Clinique consultant about this, and she says this is after your regular moisturizer but before any moisture sealant or booster (such as Moisture Surge).

I’ve been plagued with acne issues since puberty and even though I went on the birth control pills as a hormone therapy series 2 years ago, my old acne scars still remain even if the hormone therapy has basically fixed my acne issues. I still get the occasional pimple 3-4 a month, but it’s nothing like what it was before. I was hoping for a miracle product that would lighten my acne scarring so I can stop wearing make up so often. A Clinique consultant recommended this to me and though the splurge was deep I thought I’d give it a try.

According to the press release you’re supposed to be able to see improvement in your skintone, for blemishes and whatnot, and it’s supposed to be for all ethnicities. I’ve used up a whole bottle of this now following the instructions quite religiously, so now I can tell you what I think about it!

So, ten weeks later, these are the changes I’ve seen in my skin:
- Brighter, less sallow skin tone.
- Acne scars have indeed faded faster, both new scars and old scars.

All in all my skin tone became much brighter and I haven’t had any issues with dryness or any adverse reactions. It is pricy and only lasted me about 10 weeks before I ran out, and at $49.50 for 1 oz it is not cheap, but if you have serious issues with acne scarring or sun spots I would recommend giving this a try. For me it was worth it because I can get away with only tinted moisturizer now whereas before I began this new regimen I had to use pretty full coverage foundation.

A- from Firedawn Beauty—-there’s a – because of the price!
