Summer Perfumes: Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche

It’s the height of summer, and perfume must be subtle but delicious. As I grow up, graduate, and venture into the adult working world, I need a fragrance that will be sweet, fresh, but not overpowering. It needs to be age-appropriate for all of my 23 years but no more. My old favorite standbys, Lolita Lempicka and Escada Pacific Paradise, no longer work for me when I’m out and about for my publications job.
Enter Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. According to Chanel:
CHANCE Eau Fraîche, the newest incarnation of the unexpected fragrance, now takes on a sparkling freshness. The unexpected floral bursts with a lightness and zest as notes of citrus, Water Hyacinth and Jasmine Absolute are highlighted and energized with woody notes of Amber of Patchouli and Fresh Vetiver.
I’ve worn this a lot this summer and it’s exactly what I’m looking for. The citrus notes with the light floral notes blend flawlessly for a youthful but not overwhelmingly sweet scent that is perfect for summer. It doesn’t last as long as it needs to, but it still stays pretty well as long as I spray it on my clothes or in my hair lightly as well as on pulse points.
It’s so difficult to get that elusive scent that is just right for you, that both men and women admire on you, and I won’t lie: I’ve been complimented on this scent by many men and women, which says something about this wonderful scent!
All in all this is my favorite fragrance find in a long time. I highly recommend it even though it comes at a high price point, $90 for 3.4oz and $65 for 1.7oz. It’s completely worth every cent and is a classic summer scent for younger women, especially in the 20s and early 30s, in my opinion~
