“Just Chill” make up break down.

This is a make up info post for the outfit I posted on Thursday titled “I promise we will just chill.. just chill.” It was a really fun look to do, and the cheeks/lips combo was somewhat unusual for me.

I generally love a really pink, cool-toned cheek, but on this occasion, because I was wearing such a pretty, beige/yellow toned maxi dress, extremely pretty, extremely romantic, but extremely warm, with all these bronzy, brown, warm-toned autumn colors, I decided to try to work with warmer colors, with a splash of frostiness.

I wear brown smokey eyes pretty often, so this is nothing new. However, I went with a peachy, apricotty cheek, created with a mix of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (Apricot), Dior Harmonie Blush (Coral Riviera), and Nars Orgasm. Also, for an extra glow and to diffuse light on imperfections, I blended everything together all over the face after everything (but before mascara!) with Guerlain Meteorites in Teint Beige. They are seriously my HG setting powder. I set my foundation with something else (a generic translucent-ish powder), but the Meteorites are seriously where the magic happens. It blends together everything so wonderfully and adds a subtle glow to my skin that is just right but never sparkly, resulting in the beautiful, subtle, and never over the top glow that you see on my nose, chin area, and forehead (the cheeks are the help of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick). Seriously my Holy Grail product for the face.

I hope you will enjoy the full, super-detailed break down below as well as some more photos, all below the jump:

If you just realized what I just realized–

Shooting while the sun is setting, in the beautiful twilight was really fun, except for the part where you’re just racing against time and there’s never enough time. I’ve had this H&M dress for a year and never wore it, but pairing it with this gorgeous BCBG top really helps it. I continue to wear the heck out of these amazing Jeffrey Campbell clogs, and they are perfect. This is also the first outing with this Forever21 headband, and the whole ensemble was so out there and girly that my brother and I were laughing the whole way home at being out in public looking like this. Fun times.

American Apparel Circle Scarf 2nd way.

Trying to get some of these looks out of the way!

American Apparel Circle Scarf worn as strapless dress. Victoria’s Secret Biofit bra.
Vintage belt, open cardigan from Urban Outfitter.

A perfect outfit for a low-key evening out with friends. Nothing flashy, just comfortable.

Ways to Wear American Apparel’s Circle Scarf, part 1.

Sweater by Hollister. Faux leather jacket by BCG from Urban Outfitters.
Gray jeans from Wet Seal.  American Apparel circle scarf worn as a hooded double scarf.

I get a ton of wear out of all of these above items. You’ve seen the sweater featured here before, and the faux leather jacket has been featured already time and time again. I just adore all the above pieces. This is the first time the scarf has been featured though, and I plan to try my best to feature all the looks that American Apparel claims it can do.

So far, so good. It worked quite well on this particular day that the picture is from. The day was rather wet and dreary, not to mention rainy. I know I should’ve worn something brighter, but at that time all I wanted was something comfortable and this outfit certainly is.
