Harry Potter Nails–Hufflepuff.

Are you guys ready for the final Harry Potter film? I’ve already done my nails in my house’s colors, yellow and black, in preparation for it! BRING IT ON!

China Glaze First Dawn with Essie Matte About You.

I adore adore adore Essie’s Matte About You top coat. It makes everything super flat and sets my nail polish really fast. You still get the dimensions of the sparkles in each nail polish but it’s matte and flat. Also, it makes them go foreverrrr. Both times I’ve used Matte about you I’ve been able to get 5-6 days without any major tipwear and with no chips. Hand lotions and all those things do not  affect the finish. After about a week though it starts to wear down and get kind of shiny but still without much tip wear or chips, just less matte than it started out since it’s polished from my daily wear.

Amazing stuff.

Nails of the Day: Urban Decay Summer Love set in Woodstock.

I’ve been obsessively changing up my nails every day and this was one of my favorites though you have to be pretty bold to wear it.

It’s a neon pink, and this particular formula is kind of weird. It’s really goopy and it was a bit to get it on and nicely brushed out quickly, and it ended up kind of weirdly semi-matte. The other ones were pretty glossy so this is a bit weird to me. On the upside, it did dry super fast and in the 24 hours or so that I wore it it stayed put and there was no tip wear or chips even without a top coat.. hm. Unlike the purple color I tried last week, it only took two coats. This is without a top coat, once again.

Swatch/nails of the day: Urban Decay Summer of Love Polish in Hashbury

I wore this for a few days last week and I actually got pretty good wear out of it. Shown with a coat of Seche Vite over it.
