Long time no photoshoot! Boyfriend jeans outfit.

Open-knit sweater, H&M. Necklace, BCBG. Boyfriend jeans, ZARA.
Oxford booties, ALDO’s. Angel-wing earrings, Forever21. Lipstick, MAC Russian Red.

My winter uniform has basically been some sort of comfy bottoms (in this case, boyfriend jeans rolled up at the cuff, by ZARA) with a loose sweater on top. Laundry days have become frightening–there would be just racks full of neutral toned (browns, taupes, grays) sweaters hanging in my bathroom. It’s nuts.

It’s been forever since I’ve done a real blog/outfit post here. I snapped a few pictures with a friend sporting boyfriend jeans which are surprisingly hard to style. No matter what they made my legs look shorter than they actually are. Hopefully from now on I’ll remember to snap pictures of what I wear so that you guys can see them.

A new photoshoot with Sherry Lu Photography.

Mock two-piece gray and pink dress, Brick Lane. Cardigan, Sparkle and Fade (Urban Outfitters)
Pink braided necklace, Forever 21. Polka-dot tights, ZARA. Oxford booties, ALDO’s.

Not only do I have an unusual photographer for this post.. even the dress is unusual. This is the first of many dresses from Asia I’m planning to share with you! This Brick Lane dress is from a Korean brand, and I’m really loving all the Korean styles I’ve been wearing lately.

I have previously had the privilege to work with Sherry Lu Photography for some fun photoshoots before, but this week I have not one, not two, but FOUR outfits to share with you, all photographed by the fantastic Sherry Lu. This is actually a different Sherry than the Sherry who usually photographs me for this blog, but this time she is here in these photos with me! How exciting is that? If you are interested in what she is wearing, I’ll be coming back to this post to update on her clothes. :)

I’m really excited to share the rest of this series with you so keep an eye out! Also, a quick plug for Sherry Lu–she does great wedding and engagement photos, as well as photoshoots of all shapes and sizes, so if you are looking for a photographer in the Vancouver area, you should definitely browse her site, see her work, and see if that’s a possibility for you! Enjoy. :)

Roses and Tulle.

Redopin tulle tank top dress. Sparkle and Fade open-knit sweater. Necklace from Forever21.
Gift with purchase tote from Bloomingdale.  Sandal wedges by Nine West. UCLA Class of 2010 ring.

First of all… I hope no one is overly offended by my fondness for overexposed lighting in photos. I don’t know, something about the brightness really draws me in and makes me feel like I’m floating. That said.. on to the actual pictures and blog post itself… themselves? I don’t know.

So. An adventure. That’s what I went on today. My friends and I took the morning/early afternoon off to go to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens… and… I promptly ruined this tulle dress by stepping right through it. D’oh. We’ll have to see if I can fix it!

It was a really unseasonably hot day.. though I should have expected it given it’s, you know it’s California… but I always want spring to stick around a little more. I think I tanned about 3 shades today. Oops.

I love this new Redopin dress that I got in the mail from Korea. It’s fantastic. Too bad I ruined it right away. But ah well, it was perfect while it lasted. It’s not too poofy, and it’s got this wonderful movement because of the layers and the tulle. It’s the perfect nude-peach colored dress for spring-summer. Hopefully I’ll be able to fix it…

Hey boy, can you keep a promise?

Dress, Modcloth. Earrings, Forever21. Necklace, from Japan. Wedge sandals, Nine West. Purse, Coach.

Luckily, we took these photos before my dog decided to give my thigh a good chew/mauling, or you’d be looking at massive amounts of blood and bandaging right now. Plus it would’ve been impossible to stand in those shoes then. Yeah. It’s finally starting to look like spring in California. Or summer. We kind of skip over the spring part and go straight for the 90-degree weather. It’s killer. It’s like 105 degrees in my room because my room seems to just be a hot house in summer and an ice box in winter. Fantastic. But at least now I can bust out the summer wardrobe!

We took pictures in the street which I think is a first for me. It’s very pretty though the lighting sucks (was kind of gray) and there were gnats everywhere. I wanted to kill myself. Me and nature, do not mix.

The title is from Namie Amuro’s latest album. It’s a collaboration and it is amazing.
