My Beauty Diary (我的美麗日記) products:

I purchased this along with the Jill Stuart blush and the Lunasol eyeshadow palette I reviewed previously. I hadn’t had a chance to swatch any of them seeing as I had to purchase them overseas blind, asking a friend to bring it over for me. Since I knew the Jill Stuart blush was supposed to be a baby pink, I decided to skip the”basic” baby pink shade in this Lunasol line (that would be #1, literally Baby Pink I think), and go for the more natural-looking 08 Medium Pink. This is not a color that is choosy at all, and will go wonderfully on all but the darkest skin tones.

Any Asian girl or medium-toned gal could probably get away wearing this. It looks super, super glittery in the compact, but it’s actually quite a nice, subtle sheen when on. It is definitely more of a shimmer compared to the Jill Stuart, but it’s not glittery either. It shows up super naturally and pretty on the cheek

I generally like to just swirl all of it together with a nice big fluffy brush, and just brush it on regardless of whether it’s the light or dark side! It lasts all day for me in regular daily wear, though I don’t really ever have a problem with cheek color fading, so that may just be me!

Overall this is a perfect everyday blush that will add a little sheen and kick to your look without sending you into glitter overload. A- (minus is for price!)

I’m such an irresponsible blogger. It’s been nearly a month since I blogged and mostly because of work, the prohibitive heat of the Californian summer, and the lack of a photographer. Don’t get me wrong though, I do love summer. I love the cooler evenings when it’s not freezing, taking my dog out on a walk, and seeing all the summer flowers in bloom and the bug-life. I love spider webs and I love bees! What can I say?

Some actual style-related news… items I’ve been loving lately are my Zara bag which is a nice brief-case size, and my Aldo canvas flats which I found on sale. They are both simple, comfy, unfussy… perfect for a low key summer work day without resorting to flip flops.
